can I give asafoetida to my baby.he is 3 months old.he is suffering cold nd cough.my relatives told me asafoetida is good for cold.plz tell me can i give ????

you have to give only breastfeeding /milk to the child till completion of 6 months of age and before 6 months of age if you are giving any type of outside food or complementary feeding it can cause digestion problem in the child.
no need to give water also because breast milk contains 80% of water and water also is given after six months of age only.
it is advisable to continue the the multi vitamin and supplement medicines given by your doctor.

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl2 years agoA. No you cannot give it to the child nothing can be given to the child to eat or drink or even to taste for the age of six months after six month when you go first food then you can add and give it to the child but currently I am sorry you cannot use it
