can a 1 year 6 months old baby have worms in there stomach. if it can be please tell me the medications or anything else I can do.

ExpertDr Mahesh PatilPaediatrician2 years agoA. Hello,your baby boy is 18 months old and if he is taking top food and vegetables and fruits then he is likely to have worms infestation and needs suspension albendazole 5 ml at night

Deworming medicine needs to be given routinely to every child after one year of age and the dose is 200 mg of albendazole once at night time and then repehoat the same dose after 14 days once this cycle should be repeated every six months at least till 5 year of age but it is advisable to give this medicigne only after taking guidance by your doctor
