A. She might be getting disturbed during her feeding sessions or might be falling off to sleep while feeding.Dont worry just keep on feeding on demand...Don't think that your supply is low.. Always be positive..Even then you should keep on making her suck the nipples as then only your brain will realise that more milk supply is needed for your child...this making the breasts produce more milk...If you don't make her suck,it will be a sign of low demand and thus brain will decrease the milk production... Basically we should make it realise that more milk is needed so feed your child on demand...Pumping is also a great method to boost your supply...Start pumping when your baby sleeps at regular intervals on all days...Follow a pattern and your supply will gradually start increasing...Breast milk supply at midnight and early mornings...If possible, try to pump and store it during these times...Food and nutrition of the mother is also an important factor...So drink atleast 3L of water every day...also try to include oatmeal, rich protein food, fish, drumstick leaves, green leafy vegetables, milk etc to your diet...Lastly be positive, you have the right amount of breast milk that your baby needs with you...Don't stress...He/she will soon start feeding sufficiently..Give yourself and your baby some time....Happy parenting

A. hi no it is not necessary that a baby does this because of low milk supply. all babies are different so they have their own specific sleep and feeding patterns. so.if your child looks happy healthy and active, gains enough weight then no need to worry about anything.
