Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. babies bite while breastfeeding for several reasons
-poor latch/ attachment
-too much milk flow
-low milk supply
-a cold or stuffy nose
-being full
-distraction or boredom
-teething
you can calmly say something such as “no biting” as you remove your breast
don’t pull your baby off too quickly. removing a baby that is still firmly latched can cause more injury to your nipple.
to ease the pain and protect your nipples, you can try:
-nipple cream, such as purified lanolin
-cold packs
-nursing on the unbitten side first — breastfeeding tends to be most vigorous at the beginning of a nursing session
-pain relievers that are safe for breastfeeding, such as paracetamol and ibuprofen can be taken
-using a pump to maintain your milk supply as you heal
biting is usually a temporary problem and babies quickly learn to stop.
a lactation consultant can help you find strategies to continue breastfeeding for as long as you and your baby wish.

Start using a nipple shield it is very common for women to both who this kind of a problem and kids have their teeth and they really bite so you can apply any antiseptic cream onto that area where the child has bitten you and use nipple shield that will help in protecting your nipples from your child’s bite
