baby is crying and pushing so much for passing motion after starting solids.. I gave ragi and babana porridge for 3 days and there is no constipation but she cries and shows discomfort and pushing a lot to pass stool..

A. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid food has been started after 6 months . you can give bonnistan drops and some ennzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .
