baby is 6 months old and have cough cold. plz advise home remedies

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectoranrt brontchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Indirect steam is good enough to go ahead with as of now you can do it three times in the day apart from that there is no such home remedy that I can suggest you will have to go ahead with a proper course of medication after taking advice with your treating doctor
