Loose motion are most of the time infective where it is associated with fever and vomiting and its known as gastroenteritis where symhyptomatic treatment along with management for dehydration is required if loose motions are associated with foul smell mufcous high grade fever than it could be bacterial infection which needs antibiotics treatment

It Could probably be an issue that your child may be having its teeth which is why this could be happening you should check the gums of your child for better clarity and if required you can definitely go ahead with the concentration with your doctor as well
