Q.

Baby born preterm during 33rd week. Baby is just 1.5kgs. Is it recommended to do breastfeeding to this baby? Does these preterm babies have sucking power? Don’t they loose their weight when they waste their energy in sucking milk?

A. What I am asking is about whether formula milk can be given or not? Breastfeed is not done yet as the baby is 1.5kgs , doc has advised. Latching problem is not at all there.

A. Hello dear parent! Few babies might have latching issues. Consult your doctor for evaluation and seek further advice. Continue feeding your baby with Babyhug stainless steel feeder. Good luck and take care
