Q.

#askthepert Hello! My 3.5 month old baby drinks 60 to 70 ml of breast milk at each feeding. I tried alot to increase the ml but he only drinks that much only. Is it normal?? Like 4 months old baby drinks 4 to 5 ounces per feeding but he has sticked to his newborn intake only. I’m really worried.

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. Each baby milk intake is different. If baby is active and taking feed properly then no need to panic. Please masaage your breasts gently before feeding the baby. Also make sure the baby is in correct position to latch to the breasts properly. Try to feed the baby for atleast 20-30mins at one time and try to keep a gap of two hours between each feed or as the baby demands. Please massage baby stomach with BabyHug coconut oil clockwise and anti-clockwise. You can also apply hing water on baby stomach. Also do some cycling leg exercises of the baby to relieve from constipation and gas. Please make the baby burp after every feed. Mother should chew saunf and ajwain after every meal. Thanks and take care
