#askthepaeditrician my 3 yr old daughter is having cold andcough for more than 2weeks now. doctor has advised a few syrups for 7 days. it has been 4 days but she is still coughing badly. plz advise

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough and Cfold along with the symbptom like Fever loss of appetite irritability could be a feature of viral infection or seasonal flu where most of the time supportive treatment is given.
along with that cough expectorant and decongestant with antiallergic medicine given.
steam inhalation can be given frequently to relieve the symptoms.
