Q.

#asktheexperts Yesterday my soon took second dose of Penta and Rota. From yesterday night he has fever. also noticed gas and stomach tightness. Please suggest it's a normal side effects.

A. Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation isgf paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations. cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .

A. Up Yes all of it is completely normal a child can suffer with fever and the tightness in the stomach probably is just due to stomach pain that your child may be having which is just due to age it has got no connection with the vaccination but he has fever is very common with the vaccination
