Q.

#asktheexperts While breastfeeding am developing a kind nipple pain sometimes.First of all i thought it is because of the wrong feeding posture and corrected.After which the problem solved for my left breast but still it is persisting for my right breast nipple.Whenever my baby starts sucking,it causes immense pain on the nipple area.Any suggestions?

A. many times and the most common cause would be due to accumulation of milk clots and sometimes it can be neurogenic pain and sometimdes it might be a part any local mass like lymph nodes or tissue pain. if it is not improving with simple massage as well as simple hot compresses and expression of accumulated milk tdhen meet your doctor at the earliest for local examination. you can take paracetamol for pain.

A. Then it is a nerve associated pain that you are going through this kind of pain is quite possible when you feed the child so I suggest to talk to your gynaecologist once regarding that medicine to reduce down the pain over the periodWrite Your Answer Here
