#asktheexperts when can we expect to have periods after delivery.i had regular flow the next month of my delivery but then other month there ws no periods.pls advice

A. In majority of the women they get a single cycle around 40 days after giving birth and after that if they are exclusively breast-feeding their babies they may or may not get the cycles for 6 to 12 months. A. Hi You can get your periods after six months or one year of the delivery also sometimes it can be 18 months also it would completely depend from woman to woman every person has a different cycle it’s mostly because you are exclusively breastfeeding the child and due to hormonal changes in the body the periods can be delayed
