Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. It is very normal for small children that sometimes they will not pass stool for 10 days also and sometimes they will pass stool more than 7 to 8 times per day.
If the consistency of the stool is Scemi solid to semi liquid do not worry about the frequency of the stool.
No medicines needs to be given in such a case but you have to mceet the doctor only if the stool consistency is hard.
It is advisable to give only milk to the child and nothing else before completion of 6 months of age

some babies will pass motion in gap of 3-4 days and some may in a gap of one week
