#asktheexperts What is the normal weight and height for iugr baby in 5th month and what solid food to start with?

A. dear mum the weight and height of IUGR baby at 5 months would depend on the weight and height at birth. solids or top food should be introduced only after completion of 6 months.

Q. Hello, My son is 7 months old. I had IUGR so he was born with low weight 1.7 kgs and his height was 37 cms. From birth to 5th month, his growth (height & weight) was at good pace. After that his weight is increasing, but height stops increasing. From 5th month, his height is 53 cms to till date. And his weight is 5.3 kgs around. So as a parent my concern is his overall growth. Please advise.
