Q.

#asktheexperts We introduced banana and cow milk for the first time to my 5momth old 2 days back. he seemed constipated and passed really dry hard stool so we thought it would pass. We gave him carrot water last evening and din't give cow milk or banana today and gave formula/breast milk .He tried really hard and passed dry stool with lots of black bits today. Should I go to a pediatrician or is it normal during transition from liquids to solids?

A. hi, it's advice to start solids after 6 month of age, carrot, banana leads to constipation, so avoid in initial phase of weaning. start cow milk only after 1 yr.

A. Thank you ma'am . We will stop cow milk until he s 1 and restart banana again once he s 6months. Will the baby need medication or will stopping cow s milk/banana provide relief?
