Q.

#asktheexperts we are giving vaccine to our daughter at private hospital..till now she has been vaccinated upto 14weeks...next vaccine is due on the completion of her 6months.. my question is...shall we give polio drops in govt centres ...or not required?? as ipv is included in private vaccines. ..please suggest

A. yes pulse polio immunization is extra dosage irrespective of the vaccination schedule as well as the vaccination that is been given to the child. it is advisable that you get the child vaccinated for polio if the child is not having any type of fever at present. simple cough cand cold is not a contraindication for polio drops. it is usually available at any government centre that is primary and centre or urban health centre
