A. baby should gain atleast 500 grams weight per month and should double the birth weight by 6 months or less have frequent skin to skin contact, at one time feed from only one breast so that baby receives fat rich hindmilk which will help in weight gain ensure that baby latches properly during breastfeeding.

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and it is always advisable to give baby breastfeeding exclusively for the first six months as it is complete food for a baby and also massage twice a day with almond oil and olive oil. Also baby should gain 500-800 gms weight in a month and doubled the birth weight in first six months at least. Take care
