Q.

#asktheexperts tejas started eating some food my mother is giving everything what we are eating to tejas except few things which are spicy. so my question is she gives some sweet foods like halwa sometimes is it ok to give sweets sometime in a week as it is recommended not to give sweets and salts to babies below 2 years.

A. Sweets you can give but instead of sugar it’s advisable to use dates and jaggery that’s the right option to use salt is good to use I have used it as per my doctors recommendation so I will suggest you because this way you teach your child to eat proper food from the beginning and spices also can be given chilies you can introduce from the age of eight months onwards
