#asktheexperts Sia's nose is blocked from last 2-3 days. We've been giving her nasal drops and Vicks babyrub but cold still persists. sia is 3 mo and is in Delhi.

GayatriMom of a 4 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. Make potli of muslin cloth putting a teaspoon of ajwain. Heat it to warmer temperature and keep it around chest and neck area for 5-10 min. Heat that potli again if needed. Also use Mustard pillow for sleeping.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 10 m old boy4 years agoA. it is important to give breast feeding or milk at frequent intervals to keep the child hydrated. anti cold medicines are not given without medical consultation what yoou can give now is nasal saline drops which is salt water and can be given again and again to decrease nasal blockage as well as cough and cold try to prevent temperature variations around the child and keep the child well covered

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 6 m old girl4 years agoA. hi first you need to keep your child well hydrated for that ,offer plenty of breastfeeds to your child. instead of Vicks ,I would suggest to use Babyhug rapid relief rub ,it is really effective. put a bowel of chopped onion and garlic pods near your child bed ,it will help to cure nasal congestion.
