#asktheexperts my son is 2.2yrs old... as he was suffering from severe cough and cold .. doctor prescribed amnocortil forte for 3days 3ml thrice a day ... now it's already done for 3days.... do we have to stop immediately or gradually reduce the dose as it is steroids.....

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 8 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. it can be stopped immediately and there is no need to taper the dose. when the same medicine is given for more than one month or a very high dose is given for weeks then only tapering needs to be done

Rashmi GuptaMom of a 12 yr old girl3 years agoA. If the doctor has given a course only for three days then you can stop now because the medicines are specially which are based on steroids are meant to be only given till the time the doctor has advised it’s better that you stop now
