#asktheexperts My son going potty in green colour from last week and he is going daily 5 times,any problem? Baby age 3 months

A. 4 to 5 green stools not a problem, wash & sterilize bottles properly Don't worry about green stools because it is very commonly seen if your baby is having mild cold and cough or drinks formula milk. Moreover the consistency and the frequency of stool matters more than the colour.

A. Excess bile can cause green poop. A breastfed baby's poop, as it transitions from meconium to mature milk, may look greenish. Green poop may indicate a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance in breastfed babies, which results in your baby is getting a larger portion of foremilk (watery milk) than hindmilk (thicker, fattier milk).
