#asktheexperts My postpartum bleeding stopped on 20th day. After 40th day I have bleeding again. Is this postpartum bleeding or periods? I am breastfeeding. Will breastfeeding mother get periods so early?

A. Hello good morning !! Post partum bleeding happens 45-60 days depending on your mode of delivery, Haemoglobin level, harmonal changes. If your delivery via c-section then bleeds irregular 30-45 days and stops if it's normal bleeding happens frequently for 45-60 days. No breast supply depends demand supply the more baby latches the more milk produces and also intake of lactating foods- milk and diary products, rusk, roasted bread, papaya, chikoo bottle, gourd, Poppyseeds, Garlic, garlic milk, ajwain water, mutton kheema.
