#asktheexperts my newborn baby is 7 days old. today bilirubin test was done and its is showing total - 8.96 mg % direct - 1.0 mg % indirect - 7.96 mg % is it ok?

Yes It is still very much in range but I think your child me you have to go for phototherapy for at least 24 hours so that it comes to the normal figure if your doctor is not advising a phototherapy then also it is fine just keep your child in indirect sunrise every day for about 30 to 50 minutes that’s also going to be helpful
