Q.

#asktheexperts my newborn baby is 7 days old. today bilirubin test was done and its is showing total - 8.96 mg % direct - 1.0 mg % indirect - 7.96 mg % is it ok?

A. do not worry about this it's normal in the baby Further it is advisable to consult your local doctor for proper examination if required there is need for appropriate investigations also in this regard o k

A. Yes It is still very much in range but I think your child me you have to go for phototherapy for at least 24 hours so that it comes to the normal figure if your doctor is not advising a phototherapy then also it is fine just keep your child in indirect sunrise every day for about 30 to 50 minutes that’s also going to be helpful
