Q.

#asktheexperts My daughter Prisha does not eat fruits. In the morning she drinks milk (Little Joys) and after that she eats about one or one and a half roti. In the evening she again drinks the same milk. At around 8 pm she eats khichdi or roti, and at 11 pm she eats ragi. At night I also breastfeed her while she is sleeping. But her weight is not increasing. She is very active though—she talks, plays, and does everything normally. Her height is increasing as well, but the problem is only with her weight. Could it be a stomach worm problem? She does not have any symptoms that suggest worms, but some people say that if weight is not increasing, it might be due to worms. Could you please suggest something?

A. Madam I understand your concern because the child is not eating properly where do you expect the child to gain weight and breastfeeding in this age is not the writing to do you have to quit and you should’ve actually quit by the age of two right now you should give proper meals whatever are made at home for breakfast lunch and dinner and then you should include proteins in all the meals and milk separately two times as you are giving and try to make your child sleep by nine or 10 in the night maximum by avoiding the daytime now that is how the child is going to learn to sleep better gain better and will be physically more active
