#asktheexperts my daughter is suffering from cold. please suggest some way to prevent.

Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed. if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce thdde temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 3 m old girl3 years agoA. hi the Main and best remedy is to offer plenty of breastfeeds to your child. it contains antibodies which help your child to fight against viral or bacterial Infections give luke warm water to drink give Massage with warm coconut oil and mustard oil ,take both oil in Same quantity.
