#asktheexperts My daughter is 3 months 21 days old. Her birth weight was 3kg and today her weight is 5.8kg. Is it normal or she is underweight?? How may i ensure that she is getting sufficient milk?? She is exclusively on breastfeed.

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist3 years agoA. dear mum, weight of 5.8 kg is a normal weight for 3 months 21 days old baby considering a birth weight of 3 kg.
If your baby is active, alert passing urine more than 7 times in 24 hours, achieving all growth milestones, gaining adequate weight at least 500 grams per month then feeding is sufficient.
