#asktheexperts My daughter is 2 years 9 months old... her weight is 11.5 kg .. She is a very fussy eater. Is her weight OK?

A. dear mum, a weight of 11.5 kg is slightly on the lower side your 2 years 9 months old child. For healthy weight gain, child should be given all the foods that are prepared in the house give five meals this includes two healthy snacks give more than One Katori every time the meals should be wholesome having variety of food groups like grains, pulses/non veg vegetables green leafy vegetables fruits dairy products like curd paneer nuts control intake of high sugar, oil and salt containing food and beverages processed packaged foods

By the age of three years approximately a child should be 14 kg so you can see how much underrate the child is currently and as the age progresses even if the child is very active the weight play a very important role so this is less you really need to focus upon increasing the weight of your child
