Q.

#asktheexperts my daughter is 10 weeks old now. her birth weight was 2.8. last month when we went for her 6th week vaccination her weight was 3.7. and this month for her 10th week vaccination her weight was 4.2. in one month she has increased only by half kg. I breastfeed her on demand still her weight hasn't increased. I'm worried please help me.

A. it is very difficult to comment here without a proper examination so it is better to consult your doctor and get it properly physical examine and guidance accordingly for this matter to clear this...you should always consult doctor for proper medicine because it is only after clinical examination that proper treatment would be suggested and weighbht is important to decide dosage do not selfmedicate

A. Hi Half KG in a month is considered as decent weight gain for the child if your child is gaining half a KG every month and that is fine so if you calculate it from the birth weight half a KG every month is going to be approximately three kgs which is good enough in totality of course the game can be better but certain times breastfeeding is not that strong to gain more weight
