Q.

#AsktheExperts My daughter has just started taking solids after being breast fed exclusively for 6 months. can we give sugar/salt/jaggery in their food?

A. o ly jaggery.You can always try to add health and tasty substitute like whole grain cookies, cakes and. Home made papad etc.patience is very important too.To increase weight you must add high energy foods like eggs paneer , soya , ghee in rice , khichdi etc.this will boost him ok.

A. Give salt and jaggery avoid giving sugar as long as you can up till the age of one year you should avoid giving sugar to the child so you can use jaggery or dates it up to make it sweet and salt you can definitely add apart from that you can now add all the necessary spices to the food
