#asktheexperts my child was born in 29 week now it's has been almost 17 days he his still in nicu he his doing well he his on full milk 24ml every 2hrs how many more days he will need to stay at hospital

Uma RamMom of 2 children4 weeks agoA. Hello good evening!! As baby is pre term baby body parts functioning like lungs,stomach are not yet developed until 36 weeks.
NICU treatment will help in developing functioning of parts respiratory system,baby is taking feed helps in putting on weight.
Once the baby reaches average weight ,baby doing well then Doctor's will suggest for discharge.
