#asktheexperts my child is 1 year old and suffering from fever and runny nose what should I do

A. Cold is a viral illness and symptoms could be sneezing, running nose, cough sore throat, nasal congestion and fever. Treatment consists of antihistamines antipyretics analgesics and decongestants . steam inhalation would be benfeficial . Medicines like sinarest/wikoryl / Alex cold cvgan be given in a proper dose according to the weight for 3-5 days as per the symptoms .

A. must consult to doctor before give any kind of over the counter medication which sometimes doesn't suits the baby leading to side effects

A. Sinarist 1.5 ML twice a day you can give to the child for a cold and running nose and you can give Calpol to your child 1.5 ML every six hours because your child is suffering with fever you can give these medicines for three days hopefully everything is going to be in control after that still if you feel things are not working out then consult your doctor
