It Could be due to some irritation but without proper check up since I cannot be sure about it the only thing that I can tell you as of now is that you can clean the eyes with cold water regularly which is what is going to be helpful in the current scenario and still if you feel that the redness is there then you should get a check with your paediatrician ones or alive Dr I specialist
