Their digestive systems are immature, and gas can build up easily, causing noise during bowel movements. If your baby is feeding well, active, and gaining weight, there is usually no need to worry. However, if the stool is very watery, has mucus or blood, or the baby shows signs of discomfort or dehydration, consult your pediatrician.
