#asktheexperts my baby is 3.2 years old she got viral fever she doesn't want to go to doctor please suggest me what should I do.... temperature is 100...from last night she started with....

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having.
give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food.
keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever
armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as feverx
to body sponge to decrease the surfdace temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water.
higher medicines (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not will be told by the doctor.

NikithaMom of a 10 yr 9 m old boy1 Year agoA. hello you can give paracetamol once in every 6 hours and if the fever does not improve in a day or two then you may check with your doctor and she will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly which is better
