#asktheexperts My baby has not be pooping since 5 days .He is 1.5 months old and is being exclusively breastfed . please let me know if it's a cause of concern.

A. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid food has been started after 6 months . you can give bonnisan drops and some enrzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by dofctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .

A. Constipation is completely normal for initial one year of birth and also right now your child is only on liquid diet search a child is passing urine in a proper amount and taking all the feelings properly then you do not have to go ahead with worrying about it
