#asktheexperts my baby cried so much after he got his 1.5 months vaccine..though we gave him painless vaccine..

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Post vaccination swelling may be a common thing specially after DPT vaccine which may be painful for two or three days and the swelling may remain even up to month so if it is not causing any pain or other symptoms nothing to worry.
Swelling can be redugced by giving ice fomentation locally and paracetamol can be given for fever or pain.
Thrombophobe ointgment can be applied in acute pain and swelling .

Sarika guptaMom of 2 children2 years agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and please maintain proper hygiene and also apply ice pack on baby effective area and also give baby doctor prescribed paracetamol syrup.
