#asktheexperts my baby completed 3 months.she is having cold and slight cough.which medicine should I give?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchfodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribecd.
if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

U Should give indirect steam to the child and nebulisation to the child and for any kind of medicine I’m definitely going to advise you to consult an export a doctor the doctor would be able to advise you with proper medicines that you need to give to the child on regular basis for the same
