#asktheexperts my baby boy is 3 years old and he repeats the question people ask instead of answering. He generally asks his needs like he requests for water, food, walking etc., only problem is when we ask or talk with him, he repeats the sentence instead of reply. could you please let me know what is the problem?

A. Namaste MOm, there is a phase were in the child parrots , means repeats or acts the same way someone is doing, try to have role plays and in a playway method you could probably try it out, also its a good idea to get him to a child specialist just to clear the doubts as such

A lot of times it has been noticed that kids do not know what to give a response to a question because they don’t understand the question itself so that they cannot give a response it’s common with kids who have had a lot of screen time in an early age that’s why their communication barrier can be there so what is the situation with your child on that basis currently I would advise you to take an evaluation with a child psychologist
