#asktheexperts my baby boy infected with cold and cough since 2 months repeated...i used antibiotic syrups for my baby minimum one month ..sir pls tell me is immunity power decreased by using this medicines..

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a ptrroper evaluatgion by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Too much of antibiotics are not considered to be given to the child because they are not healthy they have side-effects if given for longer duration if your child is constantly falling sick because of the any reason then that’s mostly allergies so I think you need to work upon finding out the reason first and then you continue with any medicine which is specifically for that reason like allergy orWrite Your Answer Here
