#asktheexperts my baby born at 35 weeks, 2.4 kg sep 23, not given any vaccination due to low weight, now he is 2.9 weight can give vaccination.

A. yes csn give vaccine at this weight. vaccine is very important to increase the immunity of the body. very important to complete the course of vaccination which come before 5 years of age because this is the age group in which children are prone to vaccine preventable diseases. contact your doctor who will tell you which vaccines are important for your child and which vaccines are optional. optional vaccine only depends upon the immunity status of the child as well as upon the endemic diseases of your area

A. It’s a decent enough wait now to get the vaccination done I would recommend you to kindly get the BCG vaccination done because that’s the first and foremost one so it’s important and please get it done now because the weight is correct for your child
