Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. if the red spot in the eyes or redness comes again and again and is not improving on its own in next two or three days and the child is also having complaints (watery and itchy eyes) then it is advisable to maintain hygiene of the efyes and meet your doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment because it can be either due to allergy or infection.

meeta agarwalMom of 2 children3 years agoA. Hello, It is better to consult doctor quickly . Pinkeye caused by a virus usually goes away without any treatment. Pinkeye caused by bacteria is treated with antibiotic eye drops or ointment.
