Q.

#asktheexperts my 5 month old son has a G6PD deficiency with a level of 0.6. Ie this something that could improve over time, or is it a lifelong condition? what kind of difficulties might he face because of this deficiency? Also, when we go for testing, what should we look for to see if his deficiency improving?

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. But it is really very difficult to say anything without proper examination of the baby. It is advisable to get the baby evaluated by a doctor and follow doctors advise properly.
