#asktheexperts my 40 day old baby hasn't pooped since 3 days. he has been skipping 2 from past 2 weeks. what should I do pls suggest what to do?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. it is totally normal for small children less than 6 months of age not to pass stool for 10 days also. it is also normal if they are passing stool more than 6 or 7 times per day. if the consistency of the stool is Semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as the colour (the colourd can range from yellow brown green to black) of the stool. also straining while passing urine and stool is normal. Do burping for 15 to 20 minutes

In this case only I can tell you one thing that constipation is completely normal with kids at this age so do not worry about that over the period the Patan is going to change as of now she child is passing proper urine 10 to 15 times in a day and taking feeding properly then it’s all good is
