#asktheexperts my 21 months old son is having fever nd dat too 100 .2 ,100.4 ,102 after every 6 hours ... I m giving him Colpol 4ml nd no cold n cough is there ... after fever goes off he is playful n active... but I m really worried y is it happening so

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparafdtions.
cold sponxging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .
