#asktheexperts my 17 months old baby hasn't started speaking yet apart from 2-3 words. he does eye contact but I am worried if he is autistic or not. please advise what to do

The child responding and understanding to what you are saying the eye contact is good the child is responding to its name then it is not autistic do not relate to that though I know it has become very popular these days parents relate everything to autism but if the child otherwise is smart just not speaking well then it’s not an issue just try and communicate more and more with your child and make sure that you’re not giving any screen time to today child
