whether the child will have an illness or cough and cold or sore throat with any particular food or not (banana, curd, chocolates , sour fruits / grapes or in case sometimes milk) is totally a individual thing.
if there is history of allergy and cough and cold within 2 to 3 hours of consumption of any food and you observe this on multiple occasions then only that particular food has to be avoided otherwise you can give this food during illness as well as when the child is having cough and cold.
POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. Yes, bananas are generally safe to eat during cold and cough. In fact, bananas can be a good food choice when you're feeling under the weather because they are easy to digest, provide energy, and are rich in important nutrients like potassium and vitamin C. However, if you have a cold or cough accompanied by a sore throat, you may prefer to avoid foods that are difficult to swallow, such as raw fruits. In such cases, you can opt for mashed or cooked bananas, which may be easier on your throat. As always, it's essential to stay hydrated and consume a balanced diet to support your immune system during illness. If you have any concerns about your diet or specific symptoms, it's a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional.
