#asktheexperts I'm mother of 4 month baby. MY period stopped after 30 days of my delivery .then again start after 1 week then it continues 1 week and stopped still now I'm not yet get my period,anything problem on it

A. Hello dear It’s alright. The periods may come at anytime or they may stop for 6-12 months also. To avoid accidental pregnancy you have to keep using contraception until you get your cycles for 6 months regularly before you rely on ovulation date

A. If you are breastfeeding your baby, your periods may not return for several months after childbirth. This is because the hormone that causes you to make milk, prolactin, also stops you from ovulating and having your period. If you are breastfeeding day and night, it can be up to a year before your period returns
