Q.

#asktheexperts I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to seek your guidance regarding my son, who is 10 months and 19 days old. He has recently developed a white coating on his tongue, following a bout of fever a few days ago. Could you please provide insight into the potential causes of this condition and advise if any specific actions are necessary?

A. The white coating could be due to either milk a try using a silicon tongue cleaner to clean the tongue properly and yet if it is not going then it could be due to oral thrush in that case you can apply candid mouth paint mouth which is helpful in reducing it and if needed please consult your doctor as well
