Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children3 years agoA. lot of individual variation it can be few months sometimes up to 1 year even more for further advise and information in this regard it is advisable to consult your local doctor for proper examination physically and if all required any investigations also and proper management

This is because the hormone that causes you to make milk, prolactin, also stops you from ovulating and having your period. If you are breastfeeding day and night, it can be up to a year before your period returns
